Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.

The Job you’ll do

  • We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic, focused and committed team player with excellent communication skills to join our highly successful company.
  • You should be familiar with working in a fast moving industrial manufacturing environment and ideally you will be from an industrial background and be prepared to work shifts, with some weekend work required as and when the business conditions dictate.
  • Experience of 3-phase and 12-24VDC electrical control systems.
  • To build/assemble electrical control panels/switchgear from an empty enclosure to a complete tested panel accurately and effectively on time, on target cost and in line with our safety standards.
  • Installation problem solving and commissioning, testing and inspection of final product.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming an advantage, Allan Bradley Logix 5000/Studio 5000.
  • You will also be asked to cover both pre-planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.

  • Automation Projects throughout the facility, linking existing machinery and plant.
  • Rapid response to breakdowns on production equipment, diagnostic and repair or replace of control devices such as motors, contactors and control gear, sensors etc.
  • Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and technical drawings.
  • Participates in plant health & safety and environmental programs.
  • Work to PM schedules and record results.

About You

  • Time Served Maintenance Electrician (Industrial Production environment).
  • Understand the scope and requirements of the panel design from wiring diagrams.
  • Design bespoke electrical systems.
  • Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics.
  • Desirable: -
  • PLC Experience an Advantage.
  • Automation Experience.
  • PC Skills.
  • Exposure to Manufacturing Environment.
  • Exposure to 6 Sigma and Lean Techniques.
