Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the initiation and development of new product ranges, as well as product refreshes, from concept through to manufacturing.
  • Develop detailed product specifications, including hardware designs, prototypes, and embedded software.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring precise briefings and timely delivery of products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new suppliers for specific project needs.
  • Conduct product feasibility studies and provide calculations for capital projects, ensuring all designs meet project goals and budget constraints.

Design and Development Requirements:

  • Strong experience with various manufacturing techniques, with a deep understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in plastic injection moulding and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design.
  • Proficiency in hardware design, particularly in products featuring embedded electronics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to drive innovation within the product development process.
  • A proactive problem-solver with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
