QUALITY TECHNICIAN REQUIRED IN CHESHIRE!!!

Do you have previous Quality Inspection, Quality Controlling or Quality Technician experience and have you previously worked in a Machine Shop environment?

We are looking for a Quality Technician who has previous experience preferably within the Automotive, Off-Highway or Aerospace sector and has used measuring equipment including shadow graphs, verniers and has used a Faro-Arm CMM.

This is likely to be working a fixed day shift (7.30am - 16.30pm Mon-Thurs, 12.30pm finish Fri) - 39 hours per week, but they could accommodate someone on a fixed morning or afternoon shift if needed.

The salary will depend on the hours/shift pattern you choose to work, but this business also offers a £2,000 signing bonus (staggered payment) and regular overtime opportunities paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours.

Everyone will initially start on day shifts whilst training, but you will have the opportunity to move onto shifts once you've passed a probation period.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits throughout the production process to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Utilize your expertise to provide accurate measurement support, ensuring the precision of first and last offs.
  • Perform regular patrol inspections across all areas, including dimensional and welding testing, to maintain quality consistency.
  • Verify the accuracy of jigs and templates in alignment with the company's stringent calibration system procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality and Engineering teams to ensure PPAP elements are completed correctly and within deadlines.
  • Offer clear, data-driven feedback to facilitate the introduction of new parts to production and the implementation of process improvements.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an engineering manufacturing environment, such as Automotive or Aerospace.
  • A CSWIP or equivalent visual weld inspection certificate, or the ability and willingness to obtain one.
  • Proficiency with measuring arms (e.g., Faro), CMM, and general handheld equipment like verniers and tape rules.
  • Strong skills in reading and understanding engineering drawings, with knowledge of GD&T.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with GD&T and measuring arms, and at least 4 years in quality assurance.
