In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the reputation of our client by crafting communications that resonate with diverse audiences..Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost-effective, audience-specific communications plans that align with the Council's objectives.
- Commission creative communications products from both internal and external providers.
- Set, monitor, and evaluate SMART objectives for communications activities, ensuring success through measurable outcomes.
- Contribute to a coordinated schedule of communications to promote Council initiatives.
- Build and maintain a network of influential contacts to support the Council's communications goals.
- Offer expert advice to colleagues and partners on their communications strategies.
- Uphold and contribute to the development of the Council's corporate visual identity.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in a communications discipline.
- Proven experience in a marketing or PR communications role.
- Ability to develop creative communications products across various platforms.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and specialist software such as Hootsuite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A good understanding of local government issues is highly desirable.
