For the successful Buyer our client is offering:
- £36,000 - £40,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm
- Permanent Position

The Role - Buyer
- Provide summary reports for the management every week. These will include: new suppliers, KPIs, challenges, etc
- Place orders for required materials, components, outsourcing, glass, finished products, etc ensuring competitive prices and acceptable delivery dates and service
- Advise the design team of the costs of materials to help make value engineering decisions
- Look into ways of reducing costs, such as buying better, importing, outsourcing, etc.
- Maintain ‘Approved Suppliers’ list along with supplier reviews required for ISO 9001
- Attend training as required and aim to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Maintain and develop the stock control system
What our client is looking for in a Buyer
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Sage, to create well-structured spreadsheets, presentations, proposals and other documents - ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in purchasing and negotiation experience - ESSENTIAL
- Experience in the Construction industry - BENEFICIAL
- Skills in prioritization and time management to ensure that workload is managed effectively within agreed timeframes and deadlines.
- A positive, proactive approach and can-do attitude.
- Practical experience in construction
