Course Tutor

Join our team as a Course Tutor and be part of a leading post-16 further education provider inspired by sport. With over 20 years of experience, the client is dedicated to delivering high-quality education and setting the standard in education for young professionals. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and developing learners in real sports environments.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan and deliver challenging vocational and subject-specific sessions, including embedded functional skills across all programmes.
  • Manage the learning environment, including support staff and resources.
  • Teach vocational/subject-specific curriculum and deliver accredited courses (e.g., RSL, UAL).
  • Facilitate work experience sessions and provide relevant Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) for student/trainee groups.
  • Conduct baseline and ongoing assessments of students and trainees.
  • Handle timely administrative tasks related to teaching, such as schemes of work, assessment reports, learning plans, and progress reporting.
  • Develop and use stimulating teaching resources, including Integrated Learning Technology (ILT).
  • Contribute to quality assurance, curriculum development, and commercial development to ensure programme relevance and challenge.
  • Act as a Personal Tutor and perform any other duties as reasonably requested.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Teaching qualification or specialist qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
  • Subject-specific qualification relevant to the Programme Area.
  • Relevant industry sector/commercial knowledge and experience.
  • Proven success in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the Ofsted framework and external quality standards.
  • Knowledge of Accreditation and RARPA.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Outstanding communication skills with individuals/staff at all levels.
  • Highly motivated and competent in MS Office.
You will need a current / valid enhanced DBS certificate for this role.
