Engineering Manager

Location – Hatfield, DN8

Contract – Permanent

Core hours - Monday – Friday 38 hours per week

Salary – Up to £60,000 per annum

Role Purpose

  • Co-ordination and management of site Engineering activities
  • Facilitation and justification of engineering Capital expenditure
  • Management of engineering Projects

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of plant, equipment, site services and infrastructure
  • Development and implementation of capital projects
  • To ensure that all plant, equipment, and activities at site are completed in a safe manner and fully comply with all EH&S legislation and company procedure.
  • Prepare, manage, and control engineering revenue budget
  • Management of site’s ppm maintenance systems to ensure that plant performances are maximised.
  • Recruitment, training and development of engineering staff
  • Undertake other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company Employment Policies and individual contractual terms and conditions of employment
  • Take reasonable care of health and safety of self, other people and resources whilst at work to comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, Codes of Practice and local rules.
  • Co-operate with the line manager or any other person with specific responsibility for health and safety, to enable the Company’s responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act to be performed.

Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance:

  • Participation and accountability of all Health and Safety initiatives appropriate to the Engineering function
  • Legislative and in accordance with Company’s Health and Safety Policy, Codes of Practice and local rules.
  • Site Emergency Procedure responsibilities
  • Participate in Health and Safety meetings, implement any appropriate actions
  • Participation in management review, O & T, operational control and policy.
  • Manage function waste materials
  • Manage function emergency procedure requirements
  • Promote customer focus throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outputs
