Quality Technician

C.£28k - £30k DOE + BENS + BONUS + PROGRESSION

Sandwich, Kent – 5 days on site

8am – 4.45pm

As a Quality Technician for a forward-thinking precision Engineering business, you will assist and support the quality team through the inspection and testing of materials, components and finished products with a focus on consistent continuous improvement 

This role is ideal for an Engineering professional with some experience working in a Quality role, looking for further experience within a company where growth and career development can be facilitated 

Duties include:

  • Perform quality inspection and fault identification to support the introduction of new products.
  • Investigate quality issues to implement new procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated according to production schedule.
  • Support quality engineers with new product introduction and continuous improvement activities during busy periods.
  • Any other duties required.

The successful Quality Technician will have :

  • Experience working within a Quality related role within Engineering
  • Ideally some knowledge of precision engineering processes
  • The knowledge to interpret engineering drawings to confirm inaccuracies.
  • Previous experience inspecting parts using measuring equipment, e.g. micrometres, calipers, gauges etc.
  • Previously been involved in an audit
  • An energetic, positive approach to work with the desire to progress long term
