Head Chef Mediterranean Restaurant & Tapas Bar
We have an immediate vacancy for a reliable and well organised Head Chef for an independent family run 50-cover Mediterranean restaurant. Menus showcase traditional Spanish tapas and Paella and there is a traditional British roast on Sundays. The kitchen is well equipped and as much as possible is produced in-house.
Daily Duties will include:
- All food production, stock management & wastage
- Menu development, daily specials & quality assurance
- Compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation
- Food safety & hygiene
- The kitchen budget and GP
- Staff training and kitchen rotas
We are looking for an enthusiastic hands-on chef with excellent experience of Spanish cuisine, capable of running the kitchen with a small team. Someone friendly and approachable who wants to commit several years to the business.
This position might suit a capable Sous Chef ready to step up to a 1st Head Chef role.
45 hours, split shifts. Closed Monday & Tuesday
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 + bonus
