Children’s Home ManagerLocation: Ash, Sandwich, KentPay: £17.07 per hourShift Pattern: 5 days on (08:00 – 16:30), 3 days off, then 5 days on (13:30 – 22:00), 2 days offMyn is recruiting on behalf of a long-term client, looking for a passionate and experienced Children’s Home Manager to join their dedicated team. This role focuses on supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in a safe and caring environment, making a real difference in their lives.The Role:You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home meets the highest standards in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015. You will:
  • Lead a team of Residential Support WorkersOversee the daily running of the home and ensure professional practice is upheld.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and manage incidents.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Ofsted and Independent Visitors.
  • Conduct handovers to ensure clear communication across shifts.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping on Liberi, and quality assure these records
What You’ll Need:
  • Experience in managing or working in a children’s home environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements.
  • Leadership skills to guide and motivate your team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage safeguarding issues confidently.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A passion for working with vulnerable children, particularly asylum-seeking children.
