We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in an engineering setting to be employed immediately on a permanent basis for an established company in Sandwich.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience using MRP systems, minimising project risks and who can manage a team of professionals in a friendly environment.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare cost and price build-up analysis using data in the MRP and cost models.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure aspects of projects are compatible.
  • Liaise with operations for lead time estimations and production updates.
  • Coordinate internal business resources and third parties for execution of projects.
  • Lead and direct the work of other project team members to ensure success.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.
  • Coordinate resource and availability allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using verifications.
  • Measure performance using project management tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Delegate appropriate project tasks effectively based on the team's SKE levels.
  • Track project performance to analyse success with short and long-term goals.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients/team members.
  • Use and continually develop leadership and management skills.
  • S&M general admin to cover other team members when necessary.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in Engineering discipline (mechanical/electro-optics).
  • Proven track record in project management within Engineering.
  • Experience with project management software tools.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / Prince 2 certification is desirable.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail.
