We are looking for a Marketing Communications & Export Controller with experience in an engineering setting to be employed immediately on a 9-12 month fixed term contract for an established company in Sandwich.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in MARCOM or export control processes within a customer service environment.
The key responsibilities include:
- Manage the company website, through the developer to keep it up to date.
- Manage the social media sites, sending timely updates on sales team activities.
- Keep company presentation slides up to date with the latest information.
- Responsible for maintaining brochures and data sheets updated on website.
- Keep marketing materials and demo equipment serviceable and ready to use.
- Manage all aspects of export control and licensing requirements, ensuring all orders are addressed in accordance with the company's export control policy.
- Provide expert advice on Export Control Licensing, dealing with internal and external agencies to ensure compliance.
- Liaise with relevant departments, networking internally and externally to promote business growth while ensuring we meet export license requirements.
- Liaise with operations for lead time estimates and production schedule updates for customers.
- Log and follow-up on inquiries received into the company's website/mailbox.
- Responsible for MARCOM and export compliance internal communication.
- S&M general admin and covering other team members where necessary.
- Manage International Visitor process in line with UK MOD requirements.
- Responsible for International Visits Control Office (IVCO) clearances and Request for Visit (RFV) applications.
- Maintain and update international security visit records and responsible for onsite security requirements.
- Administratively support the Security Controller with security improvement initiatives and projects.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Ideally hold a business or marketing degree (or similar).
- Able to hold SC level security clearance.
- Valid driving license and passport is required.
- Previous experience in delivering customer service.
- Previous experience in MARCOM or export control is desirable.
- Knowledge in export license requests and management of process.
- Numerate and comfortable with capturing and manipulating data from different sources to produce costings and price lists.
- Team player who is also able to work independently and to strict deadlines.
- Comfortable with working in Defence and Security sectors.
