Environment: Open plan office, next to a newly built factory in 2019, free parking on site, staff canteen with free coffee.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4:45pm, Friday 8am - 4:30pm, 9 day working week across a fortnight - with every other Friday off

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE

Hybrid: Yes, the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week, once you're fully trained/passed your probationary period

Benefits: 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays, Benenden Healthcare

About the Role:

As the Engineering Project Manager, you will take charge of leading and managing critical projects, ensuring they meet customer expectations in terms of scope, quality, time, and budget. Your ability to coordinate teams and manage resources effectively will be crucial to your success.

Your key responsibilities would be:

  • Lead and Inspire: Direct the project team, ensuring successful delivery of projects while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Plan and Execute: Develop comprehensive project plans and track progress to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Financial Acumen: Prepare cost and price analysis, ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project stability.
  • Resource Coordination: Manage resource availability, collaborating with internal departments and third-party vendors for seamless execution.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to support transparency and accountability.

What you'll being:

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in project management, ideally within a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electro-optics, software, systems architecture, etc.).
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE II certification is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project management software tools.
