The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead and deliver key projects within their organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
With a strong background in defence or a related sector, you will have a sound understanding of contemporary ground-based Surveillance Target Acquisition & Reconnaissance (STAR) technology and products. You will also be familiar with New Product Introduction (NPI) and gate processes to ensure successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, and milestones with key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress and budgets.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party suppliers for seamless project execution.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
- Liaise with operations to provide accurate lead time estimates and production schedules.
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project reports on status, budgets, and quality metrics.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs effectively.
- Promote best practices in project management and continuous improvement.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in Project Management within an engineering or defence environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electro-optics, software, or systems architecture disciplines.
- PMP / PRINCE II certification (highly desirable).
- Expertise in risk management, budget control, and resource allocation.
- Exceptional client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- A proactive problem solver with strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC level).
