We are seeking an experienced Export Controller & Marcoms Lead to join our clients well- established manufacturing company based in Sandwich, Kent.
This is a fixed term contract for approx. 9-12 months. This position is subject to SC security level clearance, to obtain this you must have lived in the UK for 5 years or more. A valid passport & driving licence is essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Export Controller:
- Export Licensing: Handle all aspects of export control, ensuring that company orders and activities follow proper export control policies and licensing requirements.
- Compliance: Work closely with internal teams and external authorities to maintain compliance with export regulations.
- Customer Orders & Quotes: Manage customer orders and respond to requests for quotes (RFQs), as well as provide updates on order statuses and delivery schedules.
Coordination with Other Departments: Work with various teams (Sales, Operations) to ensure smooth processing of orders and timely deliveries
Marketing Communications (MARCOM) Lead:
- Website & Social Media Management: Keep the company website and social media updated with the latest content about the company's products, activities, and events.
- Marketing Materials: Ensure that brochures, data sheets, and presentations are current and available.
- Event Management: Coordinate and prepare for events, exhibitions, and demonstrations, including managing the calendar, bookings, and briefings.
- Demo Equipment: Oversee demo equipment-ensuring it's well-maintained and ready for demonstrations and events.
- Internal & External Communication: Promote the company and its activities both inside the company and externally.
Security Support:
- International Visits: Manage the approval process for international visitors to the company, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Record Keeping & Security Projects: Maintain records for international visits and assist in security-related projects and improvements.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: A background in business, marketing, or related fields (degree or equivalent).
- Experience: Prior experience in customer service or marketing communications is ideal. Experience with export control is a plus but not essential.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, good with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word), detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Other Requirements: A valid passport (for potential international travel) and driving license. You also need to be eligible for security clearance.
