Electronics Test & Repair Engineer

Overview:

As an Electronics Test & Repair Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring product quality through precise testing, inspection, and repair. Working closely with our Assembly Team Leader, you will diagnose issues, repair defects, and confirm products meet both internal quality standards and specific customer requirements.

This is a varied and interesting role for someone with a background in manufacturing or engineering, looking for a position within a reputable company that will support your continuous professional development. Full product training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing and inspection of new and returned products to meet exact specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair faults within Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
  • Operate and maintain Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) tools.
  • Report and document non-conformances, supporting continual quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to address deviations and refine testing processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Engineering or production environment, fault diagnosis to component level, ATE use.
  • Skills: Proficiency in mustimeters, oscilloscopes, and MS Word/Excel; able to read technical drawings.
  • Useful experience: Knowledge of the defence industry, Electrostatic Devices and handling, working in a cleanroom environment

Note: Candidates must be eligible for SC-level security clearance.
