A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well-established manufacturing company in the pharmaceutical sector. As a QC Analyst, you’ll be responsible for performing physical and analytical testing to ensure products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.

About the Role

This is a laboratory-based role where you will support production and quality assurance teams by carrying out testing schedules, maintaining compliance with GMP, and ensuring manufactured products are of the highest quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analytical Testing: Perform physical and analytical testing to support manufacturing and ongoing studies.
  • Documentation: Record results accurately, review peers’ analytical data, and write reports for QC activities.
  • Compliance: Adhere to GMP standards and contribute to maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lab Operations: Ensure laboratory housekeeping standards are upheld, equipment is calibrated and validated, and deficiencies are resolved promptly.
  • Collaboration: Train colleagues in areas of expertise, share best practices, and contribute positively to the team.
  • Problem Solving: Conduct laboratory investigations and troubleshoot analytical equipment issues.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Education: A relevant Bachelor of Science degree (e.g., Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Forensics).
  • Experience: Hands-on experience with QC testing, HPLC (assay and impurities), GC, or both. Wet chemistry techniques are desirable.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, corporate IT systems, and laboratory instruments.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to prioritise workloads effectively and meet deadlines amidst changing priorities.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • GMP Knowledge: Previous experience working within GMP environments is advantageous.
