Location: Great Gransden (Own Transport Essential)
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hourly Rate: £11.44 per hour
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 & Friday: 08:00 - 15:30
Are you ready to step into a dynamic and hands-on role? We’re recruiting for General Operatives on behalf of our client, a reputable company seeking motivated individuals to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity with the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment, depending on workload and performance.
About the Role:
As a General Operative, you will be involved in:
- Reading drawings and using various machinery (e.g., table saws, planers, crosscut saws, CNC saws) to cut building components such as insulation, timber, and sheathing.
- Manufacturing panels using nail guns and other hand tools.
- Physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving components throughout the day.
- Full training will be provided, but this is an active role requiring physical stamina and a proactive attitude.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 years or older due to the machinery involved.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy loads safely.
- Prior experience in a similar manual role.
