You and your team will contribute to the research, design, development, and manufacture of laser system prototypes, collaborating with external partners and multidisciplinary internal teams of scientists and engineers in the UK and abroad.

While the role involves managing a team, direct management experience is not essential if you bring the necessary technical and academic expertise, alongside proven industry experience.
Key requirements:
- A strong academic background, with an excellent degree or PhD in Physics or an optics-related field.
- Hands-on experience with optical fibre is essential.
- A practical, hands-on approach to product development, supported by proven industry experience.
