Reliability Engineering Coordinator

Based – Moreton, Wirral (CH46 1PR). The home of the Cadbury Mini Roll.

Full time, permanent Monday to Friday 

Salary - up to £50,000 per annum

We are recruiting for a Reliability Engineering Coordinator to be the site lead for all engineering reliability activities, supporting, training, educating and improving overall performance on our Moreton site.  The Reliability Engineering Coordinator will ensure that the site has the correct maintenance strategy in place for site equipment, which involves optimising preventative and proactive maintenance against reliability and objectives.

What you will be doing:

Effectiveness & Efficiency

  • Assess and organise the requirements of all external third-party technical support
  • Seek and implement alternative spare parts to minimise spend & extend component life cycle
  • Support Plant overhauls by planning and coordinating activities for your function

 Monitoring the efficiency of Maintenance Execution

  • Utilise CI tools, review and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance plan
  • In collaboration with Engineering Manager assess the effectiveness of the maintenance plan and identify any essential technical training requirements.
  • Coach and train Employees to enable effective execution of the asset care plans

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improving line utilisation and machine reliability through the maintenance plan or CI projects.
  • Provide advice and guidance to manufacturing and distribution in response to breakdowns where needed

CAPEX

  • Ensure effective maintenance plans (including technical docs, Maintenance Operating Procedures), in the delivery of the Site Capital Plan
  • Support future CAPEX plan development through analysis of machine obsolescence programme
  • Provide REC sign off prior to Capex purchases

What we need from you:

  • Minimum 5 years engineering experience, ideally from a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Engineering Degree/equivalent or accomplished engineer through apprentice route with relevant expertise
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques and how this can support a reduction in maintenance 
  • Proven history of data analysis which leads to making recommendations of how a system is performing and where improvements can be made
  • Understanding of equipment reliability techniques and how this can bring overall efficiencies to plant
  • Previous expereince of using a CMMS system (SAP would be ideal)
