Sales and Operations Manager – About the role

Are you an ambitious and versatile professional eager to take on a leadership role in a fast-growing start-up? We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sales and Operations Manager to oversee our aggregate sales yard and drive the sales of our volumetric concrete and grab lorry services. If you excel in both sales and operational management and are passionate about the construction materials industry, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

•  Sales Management:
o  Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
o  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
o  Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
o  Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

•  Operations Management:
o  Oversee the daily operations of the aggregate sales yard, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
o  Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation.
o  Ensure all equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and operational.
o  Implement and enforce health and safety regulations.

•  Customer Service:
o  Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
o  Provide expert advice on products and services to help customers make informed decisions.

What we need from you:

•  Proven experience in sales and operations management, ideally within the construction materials industry.
•  Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
•  Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•  A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong focus on customer service.
•  Valid driving licence and ability to operate yard equipment when necessary.
•  Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
