A dynamic and growing company located on the outskirts of Saxmundham, Suffolk are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Specialist to join their team.
Overview of the role:
This business are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to lead and manage our health and safety protocols across our operations and monitoring of standards to ensure our company has world class Health and Safety practices.
This is a contract role and is looking to pay between 20 - 25 per hour, depending on experience (PAYE).
Daily Duties:
- Create and update health and safety manuals for both new and existing employees, ensuring accessibility and understanding
- Conduct and document comprehensive risk assessments for all company operations, including manufacturing, processing, and storage
- Design and deliver health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring they understand and adhere to company standards
- Providing advice on building modifications
- Implementing the companies use of Bright HR
- Reviewing existing templates and making improvements to them
Candidate requirements:
- IOSH or NEBOSH certified
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety protocols
- Proven background in a health and safety role, preferably within manufacturing or processing industries
- Good knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills
- Always looking at continuous improvement techniques to improve the business

Hours of Work:
- Monday - Friday, flexible with hours for the right applicant
