Role Responsibilities- Payroll Management: End-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Payments: Managing BACs payment processing.
- Client Interaction: Direct client contact and query resolution.
- Deadline Management: Ensuring timely completion of all payroll tasks.
- Team Support: Assisting and supervising junior staff (Assistant Manager level).
The Payroll team manages approximately 85 payrolls, ranging from single-director companies to businesses with up to 100 employees.
With clients spanning sectors such as retail, charities, technology, and agriculture, this is an opportunity to develop your expertise in a diverse and collaborative environment.
Candidate Requirements- Minimum of 2 years (Senior) or 3 years (Assistant Manager) payroll experience, handling multiple payrolls or significant size/complexity
- Strong understanding of:
- Auto-enrolment pensions
- Statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
- Holiday pay legislation and minimum wage compliance
- HMRC RTI legislation and directors' payments
- Practical knowledge of payroll processing, including managing multiple priorities
- Competent IT skills, particularly with MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong communication skills for clear and effective client and team interactions
- Self-motivated with a positive problem-solving approach
- £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
