Shop Assistant - 34 hours / week.
Location: Saxmundham, SuffolkHours: 4 days per week (flexible schedule, including weekends)

We’re a small, family-run fishing tackle shop in the heart of Saxmundham, Suffolk, looking for a dedicated individual to join our team. As our only employee, you’ll play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the shop.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Assist customers with their fishing needs, provide knowledgeable advice, and ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the shop.
- Stock Management: Keep the shop well-organized, replenish stock, and ensure displays are tidy and attractive.
- Shop Maintenance: Be proactive in identifying tasks that need to be done around the shop, such as cleaning, organizing, and other general upkeep.
- Flexible Schedule: Work 4 days a week with flexibility to cover weekends and busy periods. Some weeks may require more hours, while others may be lighter. Advance scheduling will be coordinated.
- Engraving Skills: If you have experience or an interest in engraving, that’s a plus! We also offer engraving services, and your skills would be valuable in this area.
- Interest in Fishing: A passion for or knowledge of fishing would be great, as you’ll be helping customers with their fishing-related queries.
- Self-Motivation: You must be able to manage your time independently and take initiative without constant supervision.
- Reliability: Flexibility and reliability are key. You’ll need to be available for weekend work and able to adjust your schedule based on the shop’s needs.
- Engraving Experience: Not essential, but a bonus if you have skills or a keen interest in engraving.
