Job Title - Contracts Engineer
Location- Scarborough (UK);
Mission: Lead and drive engineered orders. Accountable for providing solutions to customers using advanced project delivery expertise for multiple large, complex, or multi-business projects to meet customer satisfaction. Coordinates order delivery strategy minimises commercial risk whilst maximising order revenue, GM growth and cash flow.
Key responsibilities:
- To process, administrate and co-ordinate customer orders from receipt to dispatch, ensuring they are delivered on time, to customer specification and within budget
- To interpret technical requirements, prepare and submit contract documentation as appropriate i.e. creating electrical scheme/wiring diagrams using AutoCAD, contract reports, O&M Manuals
- Liaise with customers regarding all elements of the project including approvals, variation instructions, deliveries, site work, customer inspections and/or maintenance of ongoing framework contracts
- Manage customer Projects to Business and Customer requirements, liaising closely with supporting Tendering, Production and Sales teams
- Provide feedback to Team Manager on current performance
- Ensure Project performance is achieved through thorough timely Contract Reviews and ensure Risk is managed to business objectives, both Commercially and Technically
- Check the work in progress, through Review meetings, feedback any positive/negative deviations for next bid submission
- Ensure departmental KPIs are met
Skills and attributes:
- More than 3 years' experience within a customer centric role
- Demonstrable experience within a technical role
Education
- A minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent), at Grade 4 or above including Maths (higher paper), English and a science related subject.
- HNC level/ level 6 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
