As our clients Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to managers throughout the delivery of the projects, supporting the sales with with technical information and pricing of products, as well as providing routine and on demand customer support.
This role offers a working schedule of Monday to Friday, a competitive salary based on experience, continuous talent and career development as well as some amazing benefits and holiday allowance (discussed at interview).
This role is easily commutable from Bridlington, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough and the surrounding areas.
Key accountabilities:
- Translate the client requirements and specifications for their products into a costed technical proposal comprising generally of a commercial offer, technical specifications and data sheets.
- Produce a cost make up/price make up (CMU / PMU) to reflect the requirements.
- Support of Sales in the successful negotiation with the client acceptable pricing, technical details, commercial terms and conditions and technical contents within the business guidelines and at optimised project profitability.
- Undertake tendering activities including site surveys and other on site and off site client meetings.
- Communicate effectively to hand over successful project orders to the Contracts, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
- Provide technical support to the Project/Contracts Manager throughout the delivery of the project to bring successful conclusion in accordance with the project requirements and to maximize the profitability.
- Undertake other tasks as directed by the Head of Technical Sales.
- Undertake any other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
- Must have HND/HNC engineering
- Must be able to understand technical drawings
- High level of IT literacy and experience with spread sheets and word processing.
- Experience and good competency in presenting.
- Well organised and driven.
- Natural team player.
- Full driving licence
