The PIP Disability Assessor position is available for registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, or Paramedics in Scarborough, offering a salary of £37,500 to £39,500 for a hybrid role or £36,000 to £37,000 for a remote position.
Candidates must have at least one year of registration on the NMC/HCPC register and a minimum of 12 months of relevant experience.
The role involves conducting assessments for individuals claiming PIP benefits, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Assessors will engage with complex cases and are responsible for completing functional medical assessments and writing detailed reports using a specialized IT system.
Part-time hours are also available after training, and applicants must live within a one-hour commute of Scarborough for the remote role.

Ability to work under pressure.
Strong typing skills - 35wpm +
Strong IT Skills – able to use and adapt to new databases.

Main Duties:

Speak with individuals claiming PIP benefit either over face to face / telephone or virtual assessments.
Conduct consultation sessions with cases organised, freeing you from appointment admin.
Work with people presenting complex conditions, including physical, mental health, cognitive and sensory impairments.
Meeting targets and completing clinical tasks.
Conduct thorough functional medical assessments of disabilities and conditions.
Write and submit reports using a specialised IT System.
