Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Hourly Rate: 11.68 - 13.60
Number of Positions Available: 2
Shift Pattern- Monday to Friday- rotating shift pattern- 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm plus shift premium
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for engineering? Our client, a leader in the electrical manufacturing industry, is seeking two Inspection Operatives to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to quality assurance processes in a professional environment while receiving full training.
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct thorough inspections of components to ensure conformity with engineering drawings and specifications.
-Manage incoming inspection and metrology activities, ensuring the safety of yourself and others in the working area.
-Develop and enhance standard inspection protocols to meet quality management standards.
-Qualify equipment systems through Gauge R&R.
-Utilise best available techniques and tools to optimise inspection methodologies.
-Collaborate with production and quality engineers to address any quality issues related to component metrology.
-Oversee the calibration programme for measurement equipment used within the plant.
What We're Looking For:
-Demonstrable interest in an engineering discipline.
-Proficient in PC use, particularly with Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
-Strong ability to work efficiently and accurately, meeting deadlines consistently.
-Practical science or engineering skills are a plus.
-Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and literacy skills.
-High level of flexibility and dependability, with a strong motivation to learn.
-A good record of attendance.
