- Proactively manage Health and Safety risks and issues, initiating corrective actions, recovery plans, and interventions required to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory standards.
- Own and implement strategies, systems, processes, and capabilities required to manage Health and Safety on behalf of the company.
- Develop and propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of EHS operations.
- Lead the H&S function across operations, ensuring standards are met with consistent execution and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Collaborate on Health and Safety projects across all UK-based Operations sites, providing guidance and advice as required.
- Liaise with management groups at all levels to achieve business objectives through effective environment, health, and safety management.
- Oversee execution of emergency/hazard response activities and all Health and Safety investigations.
- Provide guidance on current and future initiatives ensuring compliance with applicable Health and Safety acts and regulations.
- Health and Safety Degree (preferred), IOSH, NEBOSH qualifications (essential).
- Ideally 5 – 10 years’ experience leading a H&S function.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
