Their Scarborough site is recruiting for the position of a Maintenance and Lubrication Engineer to join them on a Temp to Perm basis.

On a daily basis you will be carrying out maintenance and repair on required machines to ensure the apparatus runs without any ongoing and detrimental issues. You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to change oil, filters and rotate tires, among other tasks.

About the role:

  • Using a pre-defined selection of assets, lubricate bearings, spray chains, fill up oil bots
  • Using lubricants to apply to rotating elements
  • Set route sent via an iPad and work on predefined routes
  • Manage weekly stock take and update the system of low levels of stock making sure stock levels are sufficient.
  • Deliver lubrication know-how using techniques and methodologies to optimize regime.
  • Carry out first line maintenance activities, assessing and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Liaise with the client regarding lubrication issues as identified during day-to-day duties.
  • Carrying out repairs and modifications to issues found whilst carrying out lubrication duties as required in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assisting with lubrication training of the client's operational personnel as and when required.
  • Reporting asset defects to the client and entering notifications on the client's ERP system.

About You:

  • Can demonstrate they have Tribology knowledge/ methodology of lubricants
  • Has exposure to rotating equipment and can confidently support with training where necessary
  • Has obtained a technical apprenticeship, A level or relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Has proficient computer skills
