Job Advert: SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Scarborough Salary: £85 - £100 per day Contract Type: Temporary/Full-time Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive Alternative Provision (AP) in Scarborough. About the Role:As an SEMH LSA, you will be working with students aged 8-18 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your primary responsibility will be to support these students in their educational journey, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH difficulties. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting support as necessary. Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals. Support the emotional and social development of students. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH needs. A compassionate and patient approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
