Manufacturing Futures are currently looking to appoint a Plant Manager based in West Yorkshire for a successful multi-million-pound turnover company. The successful leader will be forward thinking, ambitious and knowledgeable within manufacturing. You need both an engineering degree and previous experience working within an engineering and manufacturing environment. You'll be managing an overall team of circa 50. You will be joining a forward-thinking company that are investing in their staff.  Six Sigma qualified desired.

Plant Manager / Lean / Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma / KPI / Manufacturing Manager / COSHH / Health and safety / lean /pumps / valves

*Assist in implementing lean manufacturing ideas and embedded this throughout our culture
*Lead from the front the Manufacturing efficiency improvements, daily KPI review, quality control and team development
*Ensure Health and Safety is at the forefront of daily activity
*Although a low volume industry this would suit someone highly process driven who wants to succeed

Essential:

* CI  and lean experience, a good track record of successfully improving your site
* At least 7 years plant management experience
* Previous proven Leadership experience in a large Manufacturing facility
* Ability and initiative to priorities your own day, be PC literate and task driven
* Must have a mechanical engineering background (both with qualifications gained, and experience working for)
* Good people management ability with experience of leading up to 80 operatives and engineers and senior managers
* Ability to communicate at all levels
* Confident and strong to deal with all levels of people in a manufacturing environment
* Must be hands on with a strong change environment nature, ability to embed Continuous improvement initiatives across to sites
* Work with our manufacturing team and other senior managers to ensure succession planning and KPI targets
