Group Management Accountant – Scunthorpe – £50,000 - £55,000We are proud to be partnering with a fast growing, PE backed market leading business in Scunthorpe to recruit a dynamic, commercially minded Group Management Accountant, to support with their growth journey. The successful candidate will contribute by taking ownership of consolidated group reporting, support strategic decision-making, and driving financial excellence across the group as they scale.This is a pivotal role in a dynamic environment, perfect for someone who thrives on change and challenge, and wants to be part of shaping the future of a growing group of businesses.In Return You’ll Receive:

Group Management Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidated reports across multiple entities, providing variance analysis, insights, and commentary
  • Maintain and develop group-level reporting packs for board stakeholders
  • Work closely with acquisition businesses to ensure seamless integration into group reporting
  • Lead group-wide cashflow forecasting, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Support working capital management and provide real-time visibility to leadership team.
  • Coordinate the group’s annual budget and reforecasting
  • Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to build robust, commercially grounded budgets
  • Provide technical accounting guidance (FRS 102), including preparation and review of statutory accounts
  • Support annual audit and tax processes in conjunction with external advisors.
  • Champion best practices across the ERP system, including chart of accounts structure, reporting automation, and system controls
  • Lead the finance workstream on acquisitions, including due diligence support, onboarding, and system alignment
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) experience in a management accounting or group finance role.
  • Experience in a multi-entity or group consolidation environment, or potentially someone seeking a first move from practice into industry
  • IT literacy including ERP systems, Excel and ideally Power BI
  • Commercially astute, with the confidence to challenge, influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change – someone who gets stuck in and add real value
  • A passion for continuous improvement and automation
