About the Company:

Our client is a rapidly growing SME in the e-commerce sector, known for its commitment to delivering high-quality products to a loyal customer base. With sustainability and innovation at its core, this business is scaling quickly and looking for a hands-on finance professional to join their team during this exciting phase of growth.

The Role:

As Senior Management Accountant, you'll be stepping into a broad and impactful role. Reporting to a fractional Finance Director (FD), you'll take ownership of the financial function, ensuring the company's operations are underpinned by sound financial management and strategic insight. This role will take on more responsibility as the company progresses and will be first in line to take the FD role in the future.

This role is ideal for someone looking to contribute meaningfully to a rapidly growing SME and gain exposure to the strategic side of finance while remaining hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure financial stability.
  • Support decision-making through profitability analysis and cost management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the FD on strategic financial planning and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee VAT returns.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong management accounting experience.
  • Previous experience in an SME or fast-paced e-commerce environment is highly advantageous.
  • A hands-on professional who thrives on responsibility and can juggle multiple priorities.
  • High work ethic and ambition to grow with a business on a big growth
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
