The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Scunthorpe area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Hours:Monday to Friday, varied start times (Apply online only)hrs starts run dependant), average of 12 hour shift.

Pay Rate:170 day rate, 25 night out allowance (PAYE).

Location:Scunthorpe, DN15.

Job Type: Temporary to permanent.

The role:

Ferry trailers from Immingham Docks to various delivery points.

Reload on the return trip to the dock.

Handle general haulage work with curtainsider vehicles.

Secure loads using strapping.

Self-tip occasionally, though most tipping is done by the customer.

Deliveries at varied times, with average shifts lasting around 12 hours.

Be prepared for both week-long stints away from home and shorter assignments.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

Minimum of 1 year on a Class 1 licence.

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is a questionnaire based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.

Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Be accustomed to nights out in the cab with flexibility for varied start times.

Excellent communication skills.

A safety-first mindset.
