The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Scunthorpe area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, varied start times (0100-0900hrs starts run dependant), average of 12 hour shift.
Pay Rate: 拢170 day rate, 拢25 night out allowance (PAYE).
Location: Scunthorpe, DN15.
Job Type: Temporary to permanent.
The role:
路 Ferry trailers from Immingham Docks to various delivery points.
路 Reload on the return trip to the dock.
路 Handle general haulage work with curtainsider vehicles.
路 Secure loads using strapping.
路 Self-tip occasionally, though most tipping is done by the customer.
路 Deliveries at varied times, with average shifts lasting around 12 hours.
路 Be prepared for both week-long stints away from home and shorter assignments.
Requirements:
路 Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
路 Minimum of 1 year on a Class 1 licence.
路 Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
路 No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
路 Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is a questionnaire based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
路 Full understanding of WTD legislation.
路 Be accustomed to nights out in the cab with flexibility for varied start times.
路 Excellent communication skills.
路 A safety-first mindset.
