Job Title: Business Development Manager - Plastic Extrusions

Industry Sector: Plastic Extrusions, Caravan, Modular Buildings, Clean Rooms, Healthcare, Medical, Construction, Building Industry, uPVC, Panel Manufacturing, OEM, Leisure, Fenestration Fitted Furniture, Recycled Plastics and ManufacturingArea to be covered: National - ideally based East side of North Midlands

Remuneration: Up to £50,000 + Bonus

Benefits: Fully Expensed Hybrid Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Business Development Manager - Plastic Extrusions will involve:

  • Field sales role, selling a manufactured range of bespoke plastic extrusions
  • 70% new business development targeting new sectors such as construction, modular buildings, clean rooms/ medical etc.
  • 30% of your time managing some existing relationships within the caravan and leisure manufacturing sectors, evolving needs, upselling etc.,
  • Writing the strategy which will enable our client to penetrate new industry sectors
  • Dedicated plastic extrusion rep for the business
  • Fantastic opportunity to work alongside the incumbent field sales professional who has been doing the role for many years, and is looking to retire early next year
  • Ledger/ turnover responsibility for circa £1m
  • Ideally one day a week working in the head office, three days on the road and a day working from home
  • Typically 3-4 customer visits per day
  • Targeting buyers, MD/ Owners within SME’s promoting products such as panels for interiors, or trims for wiring and entrance doors within various OEMs

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager - Plastic Extrusions with:

  • Must have B2B field sales experience
  • Plastic industry experience is desirable
  • Open to many associated products such as Upvc windows and doors, fitted furniture, recycled plastics, modular buildings, clean rooms and many construction products
  • Experience selling into OEMs may be desirable
  • Strategic thinker
  • Preferably a graduate
  • IT proficient
  • Ability to develop good relationships with current and potential clients
  • Autonomous and self-motivated
