Legal Clerk (Temporary – 3 to 4 Months)

Location: Scunthorpe
Duration: 3-4 months (Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM, 37 hours per week)
Salary: £12.26 per hour

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional looking to gain experience in a legal environment? We are recruiting for a Legal Clerk on a temporary basis to support the Legal Services Section, with a particular focus on child care litigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Legal Services team
  • Maintain and update the case management system
  • Manage legal documentation, filing, and correspondence
  • Attend court proceedings with Counsel when required
  • Communicate professionally with court officials
  • Handle incoming legal post, logging and issuing acknowledgements
  • Assist in problem-solving and ensuring compliance with legal procedures
