Full time permanent

Hours Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am - 3.30 pm Start earlier and finish later by 2 hours on occasions when very busy. Salary Good Negotiable Overtime available.

25 days holiday + bank holidays, private cash/health plan

Experienced CNC Operator to join reputable and established joinery manufacturing firm.The CNC operator helps to coordinate the department, maximising throughput, whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality, health and safety, working closely with team members and company management.

SCM CNCs working with new, top-quality machines. Required to help draw programmes and understand how drawings work.

To work as part of the CNC team to continuously improve all operations, competence, processes, and procedures. To work closely with other departments to ensure effective and constructive communication. Continuous Improvement is essential to minimise delays and Increase efficiency. Experience with wood and able to read production drawings advantageous.

Programming schedules for the week ahead

  • Helping to train employees to diversify skills in department
  • Ironmongery Stores control
  • CNC tooling supplies, working with purchasing to reduce spend
  • Increase efficiency of department
  • Corrective/Preventive action - work with all departments to report and prevent wasted/down time
  • Ensure maintenance is carried out correctly and on time
  • Ensure Health and Safety practices are observed
  • Any other reasonable duties that might be needed from time to time to assist the company in attaining its business objectives.
