Nursery Practitioner

Reed Education are currently exclusively supporting a lovely nursery in the Scunthorpe area with their recruitment for a Level 6 qualified Early Years Practitioner. To add to their friendly team, they require someone to begin in September to cover a maternity leave until July.

The nursery is of average size with less than 60 children on roll, meaning the team is small but very close-knit. The staff work extremely closely together to plan, educate and inspire the children and so you would be joining a supportive, friendly and passionate team.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress, sharing outcomes with parents and colleagues.

• Maintain a clean and organised setting that meets health and safety standards.

• Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive and supportive environment.

• Attend staff meetings and participate in training and development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 6 qualification (e.g. BA Honors in Childcare or QTS etc).

• Proven experience working in a EYFS setting.

• An enhanced DBS check with child barred list (this can be applied for through Reed).

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.

• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with children, parents, and staff.

• A commitment to continuous professional development.
