Reed Education is seeking a Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school near Scunthorpe. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning to pupils aged 7-8 in a Year 3 class.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in the class, and that are in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
  • Assisting in assessing and monitoring pupils' progress and using this information to inform future planning and differentiation.
  • Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement, curiosity and independence.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to plan, implement and evaluate the curriculum and the school's policies and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers and building positive relationships with them to support pupil learning and wellbeing.
  • Fulfilling other professional duties, such as attending meetings and training, and contributing to the wider life of the school community.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience or qualification in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the lower Key Stage 2 curriculum and how children learn, with a commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning that is tailored to individual needs.
  • A current and valid Enchanced DBS certificate, or a willingness to apply for one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
