  • Job Purpose

    S&P Consulting Services Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated and highly organized Administrator to join our team at a reputable private hospital in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent administrative skills to work in a healthcare environment, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital’s services. Provide comprehensive and proactive administrative and secretarial support to the consultants and other members of the team to ensure all correspondence and referrals are prioritised and made in a timely manner. Provide first contact to patients and public enquiries via telephone.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Process clinic and general correspondence and reports as required via audio typing or other method as requested
  • Review e-referral work lists
  • Electronic booking System - Create, amend, delete appointments
  • Process client payment
  • Create and maintain client files; electronic and paper
  • Undertake audits
  • Ensure all test results/correspondence etc are filed accurately
  • Post/ collect, open, date stamp and distribute incoming post.
  • Dispatch all appointment documentation
  • Dealing with corporate client, meet and greet
  • Answering calls, taking messages, helping with queries
  • Act as Chaperone to clients when required
  • Provide secretarial support to consultants, this will include availability, ensuring patients reports and correspondence are issued within the required timelines
  • Offer an outstanding customer service
  • Contribute fully to the team and the team goals
  • Ensure compliance with data protection
  • Supervise staff in lower grades
  • Ad hoc administrative duties to assist Operations Manager
  • Provide Secretary support to the Hospital manager.
  • Formally takes minutes from a variety of board meetings.
