Position Type:Temporary to Permanent, Full-Time

Salary:11.50 per hour

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Friday: 6:00 am - 1:30 pm

Overtime Availability:

  • Friday Afternoon: 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm (paid at 1.5x hourly rate)
  • Saturday Morning: 6:00 am - 12:00 pm (paid at 1.5x hourly rate)

iRecruit are working on behalf of a leading timber production company in Scunthorpe. Their production facility combines semi-automated processes with skilled manual work to produce high-quality timber products. The business are committed to safety, quality, and efficiency in all aspects of their operations.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Production Operatives to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis. As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in our timber production process, working alongside our team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with previous factory, production, or manufacturing experience who are looking for a stable and rewarding career in the timber industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate semi-automated production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform quality checks on timber products to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Loading product on to machine
  • Change/Replenish equipment for automated machines; Nails, etc.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Assist with general maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Be willing to work overtime hours as required, including Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a hands-on factory, production, or manufacturing role is essential.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated longevity in previous roles, showing commitment and reliability.
  • Experience operating a Side Loader and/or FLT Counterbalance is advantageous.
  • Experience working with timber products is beneficial.
  • First Aid training is a plus.
