Due to the continued acquisition of quality accounts, the need has arisen for an additional member of team to join the Commercial Department. Here, you will inherit a varied portfolio of commercial clients. Depending on your skills, experience and ambitions, this could be equivalent to £120K commission income from 30-40 clients, or it could be a much higher level of income from a far smaller number of middle-market accounts. Clients are from a range of industry sectors, such as Food Processing, Distribution and Manufacturing.
You will benefit from a warm handover to these longstanding clients, and support in the day-to-day management of their programmes from a talented team of Brokers, Handlers and support personnel. You will build a detailed knowledge of your clients’ businesses and ensure that their insurance programmes continue to reflect their exposure to risks over the years. Should any gaps in cover develop, you will suggest innovative ways to mitigate these. You will also take the lead with renewals, using your market knowledge and negotiating skills to obtain the most comprehensive cover.
We also welcome applications from candidates who are keen to join as more of a Senior Account Executive, and undertake additional responsibilities in the office such as mentoring less-experienced colleagues, or getting involved with a variety of stakeholders.

It is essential that you have experience of dealing with a wide variety of commercial covers such as Property, Liability, Financial Lines and Commercial Combined. You should also be highly numerate and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You must also share this firm’s team-centric approach where all colleagues enjoy working together to shared goals and objectives.
