Health & Safety Manager – Scunthorpe - £45,000 + £6,000 Car allowanceChase & Holland are delighted to be working with a well-established logistics business in Scunthorpe, who have a strong presence across the UK & Europe are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their team.This key role which will cover 4 main sites, will see you drive, support and improve the safety culture across the business ensuring the operations are compliant with all relevant legislation. Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:
  • Prepare report and guidance for monthly Health & Safety meeting
  • Maintain Health & Safety Policy
  • Inductions for all new employees
  • Responsible for all H&S including risk assessments, procedures and training across the business
  • Lead on all H&S matters for the operation and enforce policies to improve H&S culture
  • Consult with managers and employees to create and maintain safe work systems and environments
  • Ensure accidents and incidents are investigated and appropriate measures to prevent recurrence
  • Maintaining compliance of all the company's equipment
  • Report monthly on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics for Management
  • Company compliance with Environmental matters
Hours: 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch) Required Skills & Experience:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Experience in Industry Standards: FORS (Desirable)
  • Experience held in a similar role, within the logistics/transport industry
  • Excellent people skills, strong communicator
  • Full UK driving license
  • IT literate
