Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and proactive HSEQ Manager on behalf of our client, a leading heavy engineering manufacturing site in Scunthorpe. This is a pivotal role within a dynamic business, employing approximately 75 people, where you will report directly to the Managing Director and take full responsibility for Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the site’s HSEQ strategy to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain and continuously improve ISO9001 and ISO45001 certifications.
  • Work towards achieving ISO14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO50001 (Energy Management) certifications.
  • Act as a key point of contact for all HSEQ matters, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Be a visible and active presence on the factory floor, engaging with teams to promote a positive HSEQ culture.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with all departments to embed best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver training and workshops to upskill employees and ensure HSEQ awareness across the business.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within heavy engineering.
  • Minimum NEBOSH Level 3 qualification; additional HSEQ certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO50001).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving cultural change and continuous improvement within HSEQ.
