Our client, a leader in their sector, is on the hunt for a Systems Analyst who thrives in analysing and developing improvements to business systems at the heart of manufacturing operations.The Role:As a Systems Analyst, you will design and implement IT solutions that optimise the flow of critical information between business systems and manufacturing processes. Leveraging your technical expertise and analytical mindset, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational performance and supporting the organisation’s strategic goals.Key Responsibilities of the Systems Analyst:
  • Analysing, mapping, and optimising data flows between ERP systems, ordering processes and manufacturing as well as other critical operational tools.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and workflows.
  • Developing, testing, and deploying integration solutions for business and manufacturing systems using tools such as APIs, ETL processes, or middleware platforms.
  • Managing and maintaining databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving technical issues to ensure uninterrupted system functionality.
  • Partnering with IT, production, and business teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keeping documentation updated, including data flow diagrams, process mapping, and technical reports.
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable experience with the following:
  • ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and their integration with manufacturing platforms.
  • Database management and querying tools like SQL.
  • Knowledge of middleware and integration tools.
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, C#, or Java.
  • Understanding of networking principles and how they apply to system integration.
  • Experience with data visualisation/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI,) is a plus.
  • Ideally some experience of MES platforms such as Siemens SIMATIC IT, GE Proficy, or Ignition etc.
  What You’ll Bring as a Systems Analyst:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex system integrations.
  • The ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to learning and applying the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
