What is the job role of a Stock Controller?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised Stock Controller who is IT literate to join a new team

  • Organising the intake of product
  • Scanning products and updating the system
  • Producing reports of stock & raising any concerns on storage capacity
  • Liaising with operations on a daily basis
  • Ensuring accurate information at all times
  • Producing documentation for goods in and goods out
  • Managing weighbridge
  • Updating SAP systems
  • Rotating shift pattern of 8am - 4pm / 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday

What makes a successful Stock Controller?

This is a great opportunity to work for a company that actively invests in its workforce, a forward thinking and positive attitude is essential.

  • Strong IT and organisational skills
  • Steel sizing experience Is desirable
  • Previous experience of steel products is desirable but not essential
  • Good administration skills
  • Previous experience working in a similar role such as warehouse administrator, goods in, inbound controller, stock controller, dispatch operative or weighbridge administrator is highly desirable but other backgrounds will be considered
  • A forklift licence is desirable but not essential as training can be provided for candidates who wish to progress onto a more operational role
  • Team player keen to learn new skills and strive for continuous improvement
