Commercial Litigation Solicitor - 3+ yrs PQE - competitive salary based on experience

We are partnered with a North East Lincolnshire successful law firm with offices over Lincolnshire and currently looking for a senior commercial litigator to work in the North Lincolnshire office.

The role is working in a small team with a senior partner along with a junior litigator and paralegal. Their work includes PI, litigation claims - commercial, contracts, land law disputes, landlord & tenant, both commercial and residential, to name a few areas of work covered in the team.

The JD includes the followin responsibilities:

Case Management: Independently manage a diverse portfolio of litigation cases, including commercial, civil, and dispute resolution matters.

  • Client Representation: Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Legal Advice: Provide clear, strategic legal advice to clients on a variety of contentious matters.
  • Drafting and Review: Draft and review pleadings, correspondence, contracts, and legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advocacy: Act as an advocate in court or before tribunals, handling hearings and trials as needed.
  • Negotiation and Settlement: Lead negotiations on behalf of clients to reach favourable settlements where appropriate.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent communication and client satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the litigation team, providing guidance to junior staff and collaborating with colleagues across departments.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development activities, including networking and promoting the firm’s litigation services.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in Litigation.
  • Proven experience managing a broad range of complex litigation cases.
  • Strong advocacy skills and a track record of representing clients in court.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large caseload.
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent client management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and the use of case management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in specific areas such as commercial litigation, construction disputes, or intellectual property litigation.
  • Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as arbitration and mediation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks within the litigation context.
