Appoint Consulting is proud to be working with a well-established, forward-thinking legal firm to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their team in Barton Upon Humber or Scunthorpe.

Key duties and responsibilities for the Residential Conveyancer:

  • Build up on caseload of files
  • Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions
  • Conduct title searches
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients regarding property laws & regulations
  • Undertake certain elements of fee-earning work under supervision
  • Completion of client questionnaires
  • Drafting of petition/court documentation
  • Deputise for fee earners in their absence if necessary, passing urgent issues to another senior fee earner for guidance (if a small team)
  • Seek assistance whenever appropriate from Partner/colleagues in respect of unusual or difficult problems/issues arising in any cases
  • Contribute towards your own self-development and attend training arranged for you
  • Provide support to other fee earners as required
  • Report immediately to the Partner on any issue/complaint re: professional conduct and/or client dissatisfaction and/or potential negligence or negative cost implications for the firm
  • Promote good relations with other members of staff and facilitate teamwork

Requirements for the Residential Conveyancer:

  • Experience in new builds and complicated resi would be beneficial
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge of property laws and regulations
  • Great attention to detail and communication skills are required
  • Proficient in using conveyancing software and other relevant tools
